Back in January when Yahoo! acquired MyBlogLog, we created the logo above based on what we thought was coming. As David Dalka is reporting, we weren’t that far off. MyBlogLog’s new community manager, Robyn Tippins, recently spoke about several major upcoming changes with MyBlogLog.
1) There will be a rebranding of MyBlogLog. If they use the name & logo above – we want to be compensated for it 
2) They will be completely redesigning their website. I am assuming that they will actually give some info about how it works, where they came from, etc.
3) An upgraded widget is coming. They owe everything to their widget and it looks like they are giving it a 2007 upgrade. As Dalka puts it: A new “Widget 2.0″ is coming with some hover features.
4) Soft porn – no more. Yahoo! wants to make sure that all photos are PG – removing a lot of more conservative blogs concerns about having the widget on their sites.
5) Some sort of method to turn off your presence for some types of sites will be added. Makes sense….
Innovation is always a good thing. MyBlogLog was incredibly hot but has certainly cooled down considerably. Was Scott Rafer’s departure too much to overcome or can Yahoo! start to integrate MyBlogLog into the Yahoo! family successfully?
