This week I’ll be speaking on and also moderating a panel at Search Engine Strategies in New York (#SESNY). It’s always one of my favorite conferences (and not just because it’s in NY) and the turnout should be great.
On Day 3 (Thursday – 3/25) they have put together an awesome social media track and I’ll be speaking on a panel called The Business Value of Social Media:
The social media genie is out of the bottle and the world of business will never be the same. Social media and micro-blogging platforms like FaceBook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are transforming your business, your customers, your colleagues, your partners, and everyone linked to them in revolutionary ways. Whether you’re a small-business owner or part of a multinational corporation, you need to be listening to what is being said about your products, your services, and your competitors across all social outlets. Companies that choose to ignore social networks are literally doing business at their own peril! Join us for an illuminating discussion as we move past outdated business models, tackle ROI, and unlock the economic potential of social media.
Date:
Thursday (3/25)
Time:
12:45pm
Moderator:
Mel Carson, Microsoft Advertising Community Manager, Microsoft Advertising
Speakers:
Harry J. Gold, CEO, Overdrive Interactive
Robyn Raybould, Group Manager, Premium Account Service Group, Microsoft Advertising
Mari Luangrath, Head Cupcakeologist / Owner, Foiled Cupcakes
Chris Winfield, President, 10e20, LLC
It should be a great panel and I’m going to talk about different metrics that you can measure, what you are missing if you’re ‘not in the game’ and also give a case study about a viral marketing campaign we did and the actual real business results it resulted it.
I will also be moderating a really interesting panel tomorrow (3/23) that’s part of the ‘Search on the Edge’ track called Augmented Reality: It’s a Brave New World:
User migration to a mobile environment is driven not only by information and communications requirements, but also a host of applications that are useful, quirky, or just plain fun. App developers and experts explain how these apps hook users, demonstrate their rapid growth trajectory, and explore what might be in store for the future.
