Gina Gotthilf Joins the 10e20 Team

I am super excited to announce the latest addition to the 10e20 team: Gina Gotthilf.  Actually Gina has been a 10e20 employee for the last 3 weeks or so but the guy who does these type of announcements (me) has been traveling and working too much so I haven’t been able to share this news with everyone.  Gina is our newest Social Media Strategist and I figured that it would be better for her to tell you about herself so I asked her to email me a bio (her last line is my favorite):

I’m writing because I spontaneously felt like writing to you about myself :)  I’m a Brazilian-German Jew who speaks Chinese and have therefore accepted my status as foreign no matter where I am. And I’m not only a mutt by heritage, I’m also a professional mix of sorts with a degree in Philosophy and professional experience in Neuroscience, Journalism and film production.

In college, I coupled my study of Philosophy with Neuroscience in order to satisfy my interest in the mind and desire for some sort of tangibility (since Philosophy is ALL abstract/theory). I conducted studies in social-cultural neuroscience – specifically comparing brain activity as it pertains to memory, aging and social interactions between Asians and Americans. I believe one of the studies I co-authored will be published very soon.  I also acted as Features editor of the Brandeis newspaper during my time there.

My passion for, and experience in journalism extends before Brandeis, though, as I worked as a broadcast news reporter while here in São Paulo… this was between my experience at Reed College (also my alma mater) and Brandeis University.

Portuguese was my first language but nowadays I feel more fluent in English. I also speak Spanish, French (intermediately) and Chinese (ish).

In terms of digital marketing, I’ve worked (directly) with the following clients: Donna Karan, DKNY, Louis Vuitton, Casa Dragones (a sipping tequila), NET-A-PORTER.com,  theOutnet.com, Scala and Trifil (Brazilian lingerie brands). I also contributed to projects for other clients such as Guerlain, Belvedere, Neiman Marcus and Marc Jacobs.

Finally, my passions include social media (duh), my dog Julie, exploring the world, studying humans, skiing, photography and the culinary arts.

Other than my college application, this was probably the most egocentric piece I’ve ever written.

As you can see, Gina bring some truly amazing experience to the 10e20 team and also a great sense of humor (both are almost of equal importance to me).  You can find out more about herOn :

Look forward to some awesome blog posts from Gina very soon!
