We here, at BlueGlass headquarters, have been rapidly expanding our office space. We’ve been moving from office to office, shifting workspaces, and moving conference rooms to really make our environment comfy and conducive to work. So here’s a fun Friday post.
We’ve lost a lot of things… found a lot of things… obtained a lot of weird random objects (and we still don’t know where they came from). We’ve even acquired a dual espresso/coffee maker for the Social Media Strategies office since the team is pretty much fueled by caffeine. There’s been lots of welcome change.
It’s kind of interesting because we work online all day, yet we have a ton of space in the office dedicated to physical mapping out and planning.
Amidst all these busy days, we generally have to have really large and open space to keep track of what we’re working on. So here’s a quick cribs version of BlueGlass HQ.
Social Media Strategies room has:
Really ginormous (generic) white board. On it, we keep track of monthly going-ons and deadlines. This way it’s always in our view and can’t get lost in the e-shuffle of task managers and email.
Espresso/Coffee machine. Java fuel POWER.
Large flat screen TV for conferences.
Mini fridge- where all the magic happens.
…and of course, our office wouldn’t be complete without a huge FourSquare sticker on the glass window between our office and Search.
Our new-old conference room has:
A large dry-erase glass board (Clarus Glassboards) where we plan out any kind of team strategy.
It’s large enough where we can map out whatever we need to without needing to stare at a laptop screen, but also modern enough where it doesn’t look dated like the white board in our SMS office. We may have to steal it out of the conference room…
There’s also a cow from Chik-fil-a hanging out on it. By the way. Eat more Chikin.
The Search office has:
A corner with paint on the walls that allow you to write directly on it with dry erase for big wall-encompassing mapping (think: Idea Paint).
A big-mini fridge.
A coffee pot that seriously needs to be retired.
Filing cabinets with actual physical supplies (yes! real paper exists in our office.)
…and the other offices have fun things too. I promise.
So there you have it… a small mini glimpse into the expanding BlueGlass HQ. Busting down walls since 2010.
