I remember when I first started hearing about this “Norcross guy” a couple of years ago. I didn’t know much about him other than he did amazing stuff with WordPress, had some very strong opinions about working with SEOs, had lots of tattoos, and that he really loved his son. Fast forward to September of this year and I got a chance to spend some time with him at BlueGlass TPA and Greg & I realized that he was exactly what we needed for some internal projects we had been working on.
We started working together on a bunch of stuff and at the same time tried to figure out how he could possibly join the BlueGlass team. The only problem was that he had a pretty thriving business. Luckily, we’re pretty persuasive people and got a chance to walk Andrew through everything that we were doing and what he could help create.
Fast forward to 2 months later and Andrew Norcross has officially joined BlueGlass as our Senior WordPress Developer. Andrew is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all BlueGlass initiatives (for both internal and client-related projects) involving the WordPress CMS. He will also be responsible for creating some cool and really helpful stuff for this community.
So welcome Andrew, we’re glad to have you here!
**Note: We are currently only doing WordPress projects as part of overall Internet marketing engagements – no one-offs or development only projects due to demand (sorry!). If you’re interested in what we can do for you, please contact us and we’ll see if it’s a good fit.**

Where do I begin on this one? I blame myself for this happening. Really. Had I not been asked to be a judge on the Authority Labs panel that chose the winner that got to go to BGTPA (and as it turns out, the final judge to cast a vote, which of course, I did in favor of Andrew, given his deserving the opportunity most of all, and which, it turned out, was the tie-breaking deciding factor), I might very well still have the ability to task out WP work to him.
On the other hand, I’m really happy to read this news – Andrew is one of the most stand-up professionals in our industry. And from what little I’ve gleaned over the years in regard to his raising of little-man, he’s a great dad as well…
All of that, of course, means it makes perfect sense for this deal to have evolved, given how highly I think of the BG team already…
So congratulations all around!
Things always happen for a reason Alan, you know this very well ;)
I want some credit, too, as I originally sent him the job description as I knew Blueglass & Andrew were a perfect fit for each other. Was great to hear it worked out, Andrew has done great work for me in the past.
It takes a village…
:)
Huge congrats to both sides here – BlueGlass for landing an incredibly talented and devoted guy, and Norcross for landing a position with a very prestigious and well known company.
I see good things happening here – so way to go everyone!
Thanks very much Brian, I definitely agree!
I can’t help but think that the corporate photo of Norcross is a photoshopped version of Rob Thomas. ;-)
Busted!
Hey now, just because I cut my hair and take my glasses off, I don’t automatically become a pseudo pop-rock singer :)
Congratulations, Norcross! You got yourselves quite the programmer, guys. Take good care of him. ;-)
We will Jesse :)
Nice score!
Thanks Brian – we are psyched about having Andrew on board!
