Social media marketing is constantly evolving. With the new version of Digg launching any day, the continued growth of Yahoo Buzz, and the explosion of Tumblr, you have to stay on top of the changes or literally get left behind.
With that in mind, we are super excited to announce that Amy Vernon, one of the fastest growing leaders within the top social communities, has joined the BlueGlass team as Director of Viral Marketing Strategies.
Not only has Amy established herself as a top 15 Digg user, a top StumbleUpon user, and an expert in Tumblr, but she also has managed to really grasp the importance of both working with clients to help them participate in social media, as well as continuing to build a network of some of the most influential movers and shakers in the industry.
Amy spent nearly 20 years as a professional daily newspaper journalist before the Great Newspaper Culling of 2008. She made a seamless transformation from old media to new and has been featured in articles in a variety of sites, including Hybrid Mom, OurBlook and Old Media, New Tricks and has been a guest or guest host on several well-known podcasts, including The Drill Down, The Urly Show and Social Blade.
She’s an inaugural inductee of the New Jersey Social Media Hall of Fame and has spoken at many conferences and events, including ROFL Con II and Affiliate Summit East.
Amy is someone who ‘gets’ it on so many different levels. With Amy’s addition, BlueGlass got even stronger and I couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the team!
Please join me in welcoming her
