Spring is around the corner and that means cleaning, even your font folder! I always like to look around the web for some new fonts, so once in a while I will spend some time searching for good ones. We all know there are fonts galore online, so I have made a small list of some really cool fonts that are solid choices and will put out a new list of free fantastic fonts each season!
Merge:
A very simple, yet playful and nice looking free font, designed by Philatype type foundry and released for free download in the OpenType format.
Tribbon:
Here is a tasty layered ‘ribbon’ style font created by Dominic Le-Hair that consists of several layers.
Juvelo:
A font family from The Crud Factory, inspired by Diethelm-Antiqua, and named ‘jewel’ in Esperanto. An italic is being developed.
Raleway Thin:
Raleway is an elegant sans-serif typeface, designed in a single thin weight. It is a display face that features both old style and lining numerals, standard and discretionary ligatures, a pretty complete set of diacritics, as well as a stylistic alternate inspired by more geometric sans-serif typefaces than it’s neo-grotesque inspired default character set.
League Gothic:
League Gothic is a revival of an old classic, Alternate Gothic No.1
Titillium:
A very legible, beautiful academic typeface that perfectly fits to every corporate identity design, magazines and headlines of corporate web-sites. The typeface is available in various weights: text version, title version, extra-black version and full-version.
Take a look at some of these free fonts and if they inspire you download and use them in your next designs. A new set of fonts can add that extra spark of creativity to push your personal projects and work that much further.
