I agree with you that there is more authority for the site that posts content first.  That&#039;s a good rule of thumb.

And, for duplicate information - while there is not necessarily a &quot;rank&quot; or &quot;authority&quot; penalty for the site overall, the duplicate content will indeed get put into the supplemental index.  Particularly on Google if there are NO inbound links, you&#039;re going to have a trouble getting it out of the supplemental.</description>
